Inventors and Inventions
Knowledge:
Read a short biography about an inventor. Make a short presentation about him or her in front of the class.
Make a poster with three inventors and their inventions.
Understanding:
Choose an invention. Explain how it works. Please use pictures or diagrams to explain.
Application:
Make a presentation of invention that in different ways helps and make life easier for disabled people.
Make a model of an invention which would in at least one way make your life easier. Explain why you think your life would be easier.
Analysis:
Choose an invention and explain how the different parts in this are connected to each other and the function of each part.
Explain how a car run by petrol and a car run by electricity work. Present both advantages and disadvantages with the two ways of driving.
Syntesis:
Design a house which indoor temperature changes due to weather and season.
What big inventions were made in 20th century? Pick five and describe how they have changed our everyday life.
Evaluation:
Write a letter to one of the world’s inventors telling him/her how the invention has influenced your life.
Arrange a debate about what is best:to use paper and pen if necessary a wordbook or a computer with spelling program. Different points of view has to be represented and the participants have to be able to argue and motivate their views.
